Push VOD system

    Gospell PushVOD system is used for administrating and encrypting the non-real time digital signals (includes digital TV programs and data service) in the TV broadcasting station, then send to subscribers’ end.

    The video server sends the programs with high speed in the channels which are preset by the operator, broadcast the the program information and the programs in the channels. The relative program information and sending schedule are saved in the channel database of the headend system. It can also change the sending schedule according to the demand sent by the subscribers. The set top boxes can know the programs in the channel database by the updated channel list regularly and also know when and what program will be on by the updated broadcasting schedule regularly, and the channel sources status in the headend system. The set top boxes can also submit the downloading requirement to the headend system by the interactive channel. The programs which have been recorded in the HDD can be used as interactive VOD.

    The set top boxes in this system had the tuner and HDD embedded, also the interactive channel with the headend system. At the software part, the browser, XML analyzer and media decoder for video and data downloading and demanding functions.
