GN-1821 Compressing Encoder is the head-end product with broadcast professional quality. Its main function is to digitalize, compress and encode the analog programs from the TV stations into the program source of the head-end. Its used to encode and compress Audio/Video signals of analog TV into MPEG-2 real-time transporting stream (TS).

GN-1821 is up to DVB standard whose original analog TV signals can be PAL/NTSC. The output interface can be ASI or SPI of DVB, E3 or DS3 of telecom. GN-1821 has wide applications in digital TV, high quality video supervision, video conference, remote education etc. Various interfaces including ASI, E1, E3 could be fitted in GN-1821 for different networks such as HFC, MMDS, 8GHz microwave system, PSTN, SDH. GN-1821 has the function of remote network management.
